These classic, hot rod-style caps have a unique locking mechanism that feature a lid and arm/link with controlled stopping points to avoid contact with painted or polished surfaces. This gives you keyless access and it allows you to fill bigger tanks.
These patent-pending caps feature billet aluminum and stainless steel construction and O-ring seals and are available in aluminum, chrome, black anodized or custom finishes. All I can say is WOW about 50's Boy...It all started with American Bagger Magazine and the ad for the new 50's Boy gas cap. I knew I had to have it. It's happened to all true hot rodders, you see something and you know you just gotta have one.
So, I placed an order over the internet for the cap and adapter. Very smooth, quick confirmation over a secure site. Within a few hours I received a call from 50's Boy to tell me that I had ordered the wrong cap and THEY wanted to make sure I got the correct one. I agreed with the very friendly lady that I indeed wanted the correct part.
Upon receiving the order (two days) I wanted to get the absolutely beautiful cap on the bike ASAP. Well, it did not fit. I immediately called 50's boy and spoke to Fred. My application needed a special piece made and Fred called me many times to make sure he had the correct dimensions. Two days later (on a weekend, no less) I had a custom machined adapter (this is from one coast to the other) in hand. The piece corrected any issues.
How many vendors will make a custom piece, send it to you Next Day Air, weekend delivery all within a time frame of 3 days. NOT MANY, I have never seen better customer relations with any other supplier, and I have been in the Hot Rod/Bike Custom industry for 35 years! Most will tell you that you need to make it fit, Not 50's Boy...They stand behind the product they manufacture and sell. I could have just said "BEST DAMN CUSTOMER SERVICE, ANYWHERE, PERIOD...and Killer, Beautiful products."
